Weekly Challenge: What's Your Global Goal?

Weekly Challenge: What's Your Global Goal?

The United Nations 71st General Assembly and New York's Climate Week may be over, but  our work has just begun.  Just one year after the historic ratification of the Global Goals by 193 UN member states, the agenda was clear - tackle this mission. For those able to attend the various summits, conferences,  and concerts, or even live streams from your home computer, I hope you were as inspired as I was by the passion, dedication, and innovation exhibited.

A belief, a capacity in the dignity of every individual, and a recognition that we, each of us, can play a small part to play in lifting up people all around the world — that is the message that we are sending here today.
— President Barack Obama, United Nations 71st General Assembly

This week, I ask for you to familiarize yourself with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, otherwise referred to as the Global Goals, and choose which one you'll champion. And then, I ask that you decide how you will act on this goal. Anything - everything - helps. For inspiration on how you can take action, click here to check out the UN's "Lazy Person's Guide to Saving the World." See? You've got no excuse.

As a global community, our call to action is here. With strong will and loud voices united, we will be the first generation to end extreme poverty; to end inequality, to fight climate change, and demand that proper healthcare is a lifelong right for us all. The solutions are here. The data is growing.

This challenge is ours, and we're ready.
